The M-series is a double-column gantry machining center family developed around the M-2016 and M-3020 formats. A fixed cross-rail carries the spindle head across a wide gantry, giving stable access to broad, heavy workpieces that would be difficult to handle on a vertical machining center.

Structural Rigidity Highlights
The gantry, cross-rail and slideways are sized for interrupted cutting on steel and cast iron. A rigid double-column structure with a heavily ribbed base holds geometry under load, and the guideways are arranged to keep the spindle perpendicular to the table across the full travel.
Suitable Workpieces
Typical jobs include plastic injection moulds and die-casting dies, stamping die plates, large fixture bases and long plate-type parts that need face milling, pocketing and drilling in one setup. The wide gantry makes it convenient to machine several smaller parts side by side on a single fixture.
Selection & Foundation Installation Notes
Base the selection on the maximum part footprint, the required gantry clearance and the heaviest single part handled, then confirm spindle power against the material and cutting depth intended. A level, reinforced foundation is recommended, and geometry should be re-verified after the machine is positioned and anchored.

For higher metal-removal requirements the M-series can be specified with a higher-torque spindle and reinforced rail, within the same family platform.
