Spindle Built for Mixed Steel and Aluminium Work
The VMC1160 uses a box-in-box head casting and precision angular-contact bearings so that the spindle tolerates both steel roughing and faster aluminium milling. The belt-driven unit is available in two speed ranges, letting the same machine serve a mixed material mix.
Worktable and Long-Plate Capacity
The 1200 × 600 mm table with a typical 700 kg load accepts longer plates, jigs and multi-station fixtures that are awkward on a 850-size machine. A raised column option adds clearance for taller housings.

Tool Storage and Change
A disc or umbrella magazine is fitted as standard, with 16- and 24-station versions available; a mechanical-arm changer shortens chip-to-chip time for parts that use many tools. Tool data is managed from the CNC so life and offsets are tracked automatically.
Typical Part Families
Longer machined plates, hydraulic and pneumatic manifolds, gearbox and pump housings, die plates, and general machinery parts that need three-axis milling, drilling and tapping with moderate tool counts.

Guideways, Accuracy and Thermal Behaviour
The three axes run on linear roller guideways with pre-tensioned ballscrews, and the head and column are ribbed to limit deflection during longer reach. Optional screw cooling helps hold accuracy over long unattended runs.
Configuration and Acceptance Points
Decide the magazine size, spindle speed range and whether coolant-through-spindle or a fourth axis is needed, then match the fixture plan to the table. Acceptance generally covers geometric accuracy, positioning and repeat positioning accuracy and a trial cut on a representative part. Final configuration and quotation are subject to inquiry confirmation.
